Our Story

For generations, Knights of Columbus Msgr. John M. McCall Council 4892 has been a part of the Catholic and greater Largo community, bringing men of faith together in service to God, the Church, our families, and our neighbors. Our council has a long-standing tradition of putting our Catholic faith into action—not simply through words, but through service, charity, fellowship, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the community we call home.

Council 4892's roots in the Largo community reach back decades, with a history of active involvement and achievement within the Knights of Columbus and the Florida State Council. Our council has been recognized throughout its history for outstanding work in areas including community service, vocations, public relations, and council achievement. In 1979, Council 4892 was honored with five Florida State Council awards, including Council of the Year, reflecting the dedication and commitment of the Knights who came before us.

What We Do

collage 2.jpg

At the heart of Council 4892 is a simple mission: to serve.

We work to strengthen Catholic families, support our parish and priests, encourage vocations to the priesthood and religious life, assist those facing hardship, support children and young people, honor our veterans and first responders, and contribute to charitable and community organizations throughout the area.

But our work doesn't stop with writing a check. Our Knights put their faith into action. We cook, serve, organize, build, volunteer, visit, fundraise, pray, and show up. Whether we're serving hundreds of people at a community breakfast, helping a family in need, supporting a parish event, assisting another charitable organization, or simply lending a brother a helping hand, our goal remains the same: to leave our community better than we found it.
